The assault resulted in the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
