I will overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
